Anyone that has been in Internet Network Marketing for any time at all knows how hard it is to get 40 leads a day. How about getting 40 leads a day for free. That is exactly what a good friend of my has been doing using LinkedIn. There are a lot of people that do not know much about LinkedIn but it has been around for a while and there are over 40 million subscribers to LinkedIn. Additionally the average income for those on LinkedIn is $109,000 a year. LinkedIn is not just any social networking site. It is the cream of the crop in business that use it.
There are several things that you need to be aware of when you start to use LinkedIn. First since it is a higher caliber of users you have to take a very professional approach when you build your profile. It is not Facebook and do not put a picture on LinkedIn like you would on Facebook or no one would want to join your network in fact if you do not present yourself in a professional way you will get removed from many of the groups to the point where you are doing more harm to your image then if you were not on LinkedIn at all.
I am not a LinkedIn expert at all but my good friend Larry Beacham is the King of LinkedIn when it comes to knowing how to generate leads for his business. Larry has written a book on what he has learned about LinkedIn and how to get leads from it. The book is called LinkedIn Lead Generation Blueprint. I spend some time with Larry last weekend and was able to get a short interview with him. If you are interested in that you can see a link to that below. In Larry’s book he describes how he has been able to consistently generate 20 to 30 leads a day and a few times over 40 leads from using his techniques on LinkedIn.
Below you will find the interview I did with Larry at a conference we both attended. The background noise is a little distracting but it does not take away form the information that Larry shared.
Now the rest of the story is that I started to implement Larry’s techniques about 5 weeks ago and within a few days I started to generate leads. Within a week I had build up to where I generated 18 leads in a two day period. What is amazing to me is that I had been on LinkedIn for over four years but had never used it the way that Larry recommends. The lesson here is you can be real close to being where you want to be but if you don’t get the results it no different than if you had never tried in the first place. Now I regularly generate about 20 to 30 leads a week from LinkedIn. Also I find the LinkedIn leads to be a very highly qualified leads. Bottom line is that LinkedIn is a very good source for obtaining leads for your business as long as you do it the right way. Larry has figured out a way they really works which I was able to demonstrate.
